Leslye, William.
Lieutenant in the 60th, or Royal American Regiment.
When the French surrendered Fort Michilimackinac on Sept. 28, 1761, to the Royal Americans led by Capt. Henry Balfour, Leslye assumed command of the fort. He requested to be relieved in 1762, but remained second-in-command at Michilimackinac, where he was captured by the Indians in 1763 during Pontiac's Conspiracy.
