Aberdeen, Fergus Falls & Pierre Railroad Company.
The company was incorporated in Dakota Territory in 1886 to build a rail line between Aberdeen (S.D.) and Rutland (N.D.). It completed 64 miles of track before being sold to the St. Paul, Minneapolis and Manitoba Railway Company--the Great Northern's predecessor--in 1887.
