Bishop, Edna Hines.
Edna Hines Bishop of Hattiesburg served as a Women's Airforce Service Pilot (WASP) in World War II. She came to Hattiesburg because her husband worked for the Hattiesburg American newspaper and taught advertising in the Journalism Department at the University of Southern Mississippi. She later earned a master's degree in psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi.
