United Steelworkers of America. Local 1010 (East Chicago, Ind.)
Lodge 1010 (later Local 1010) was the product of the 1937 merger of two lodges that represented workers at Inland Steel. In 1942, Inland Steel became the first of the little steel companies to sign a contract with the United Steelworkers of America.
