Dailey, Henry W., b. 1879

The son of Christopher P. Dailey, Henry W. Dailey was born in Kenedy, Texas, in 1879. He served as town mayor at the time it was incorporated in 1910. Dailey wrote numerous articles about the history of Karnes County and other historical subjects, primarily during the 1930s and 1940s. Along with writing history, Dailey avidly collected materials relating to Karnes County's past, including newspapers, Confederate army muster rolls, photographs, and maps.
