Variant namesFarmer, LaHarpe Township (Hancock County), Illinois. Worked on his father's farm, and later bought it. Eldest son of Clinton S. Campbell, brother of John S. Campbell, and uncle of Robert S. Campbell. Local observer for the U.S. Weather Bureau for ten years. Member of school board for nineteen years. Member of LaHarpe Christian Church and Masonic and Eastern Star Lodges.
