Mount Holly Preparative Meeting of Friends (Hicksite : 1827-1894). Women's Meeting.
A meeting for worship known as "Northampton" was organized by Burlington Monthly Meeting in 1684. A preparative meeting known as "Northampton" and also as "Bridgton" or "Bridgetown" was established ca. 1748. It began using the name "Mount Holly" ca. 1772. After the Hicksite separation of 1827, the preparative meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. Mount Holly Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) was discontinued in 1894; Mount Holly Preparative Meeting (Orthodox) was discontinued in 1904.
