Zubin did postgraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania where he was awarded his Ph.D in 1932. By 1934 Zubin had married Winifred Anderson and established a home in Leonia, New Jersey. Zubin's professional relationship with New York Psychiatric Institute lasted until he retired at the age of 75. After his retirement from the New York Psychiatric Institute, Zubin moved to Pittsburgh where he created a second Biometrics Research Program in collaboration with Stuart Steinhauser. Both of Biometrics programs are still functioning. Zubin died in Buffalo, New York on December 1990.
