Cornell University. Women's Studies Program.

Hide Profile

In the Spring of 1992, the University instituted a graduate minor in Lesbian, Bisexual, and Gay Studies, available to graduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences. It is part of the Women's Studies Program. Established primarily due to the efforts of graduate students who had been pursuing work in this area independently by organizing colloquia, reading groups and conferences. In 1995-1996, the LBG Studies group became institutionalized as the Dean's Advisory Committee on LBG Studies, formed a Steering Committee, and adopted by-laws.
