Powell family.

The Powells were a family of teachers which originated in Loudoun Co., Va. but subsequently lived in Henry (Marshall Co.) Ill., Winchester, Va. and Alexandria, Va. The family was dislocated and separated during the Civil War and lived in various locations in the state until re-united in Alexandria. Two sons died while serving in the Confederate Army.
