Edwin R. Fish, United States soldier, was born 4 March 1835, in Courtland County, New York, and died of disease 3 November 1863, in the Army hospital at Hilton Head, Folly Island, South Carolina.

He enlisted August 1862, and joined the 3rd New York Light Artillery at New Bern, North Carolina. He participated in the Battle of Kingston, N.C. (November 1862), and was in several skirmishes in the Hilton Head - Port Royal and Morris Island, South Carolina area (June-July 1863).
