Carr & Carr
Variant namesThe pioneer law firm Carr and Carr was located in Manchester Iowa. Several firm members were active in state and local politics and in the founding and administration of the Manchester and Oneida Railroad. The donor of the collection, Hubert Carr, was a graduate of the University of Iowa and received his law degree from Drake University in Des Moines. He was admitted to the bar in 1901 and succeeded his father, E. M. Carr, as president of the Manchester and Oneida Railroad until its dissolution in 1956. Hubert Carr died in 1967.
