Friends Equal Rights Association (New York, N.Y.)
Formed in 1900 by members of the Philanthropic Committee of New York Yearly Meeting, the Friends Equal Rights Association promoted equal rights for men and women, focusing on universal suffrage. A number of prominent New York Quakers were members, including William and Anne M. Jackson, Phebe C. Wright, Henry W. Wilbur and Mariana W. Chapman.
