Nati Krivatsy earned a PhD in Art History from the University of Budapest, and worked in the Szécsényi Library of the Hungarian Parliament. In 1956, she moved the Washington DC area, and was soon hired by the Folger Shakespeare Library (where her knowledge of French, German, Latin and Classical Greek was immediately put to use in the cataloging department). She later earned a Master's Degree in Library Science from The Catholic University in Washington, DC, and ended her career as Reference Librarian at the Folger. In 1992, she retired to Asheville, NC.
