Thomas Kent Hinckley was a professor of Geography at Brigham Young University from 1972-1994. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from Brigham Young University in 1958, his Master's of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and his Doctorate from the University of Western Ontario. He served a full time LDS mission in the Western Canadian Mission from 1954 to 1956. Prior to coming to BYU, Thomas Hinckley was employed by the United States Air Force. He married Tamara Jones and is the father of 5 children.
