National Foreign Trade Council. Latin America Division
The Latin America Committee was established in March 1963 to deal with such broad subjects as the Latin American Free Trade Association and the Alliance for Progress. The NFTC had committees devoted to individual Latin American countries and sub-regions for many years, and the new committee augmented rather than replaced them. The various Latin America committees were lodged in the Western Hemisphere Division (established in 1948) under the direction of Robert L. Wood. It was renamed the Latin America Division in 1969
