Marion, Frederick.
Soldier in the 31st Ohio Infantry during the Civil War. Saw action at Perryville, Stone River, Chickamauga, Mission Ridge, Resaca, Kenesaw Mountain, the siege of Atlanta, and Savannah. Rode in the grand review in Washington before Generals Grant and Sherman and President Johnson. After the war he returned to Ohio and in 1866 traveled to Missouri.
