Henry Ayling Phillips (1852-1926), a resident of Millbury, Mass., graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1873 with a degree in architecture. He practiced architecture in Boston until 1923 and was a member of several professional societies. Phillips was a genealogist and a descendant of John Cotton (1585-1652), Richard Mather (1596-1669), and Artemas Ward (1727-1800).
