Ozark Air Lines
In 1950 the new Ozark bought out Park Airlines and with it inherited service to a number of cities in a nine-state region of the U.S. Midwest. The new Ozark company started service between St. Louis, its hub, and Chicago, with stops scattered throughout the area in between in smaller cities such as Alton, Bloomington, and Galesburg. The company over the following decades expanded its service all the way to both coasts of the United States. Kansas cities serviced at various times by the company included Topeka, Wichita, Chanute, Coffeyville, and Pittsburg. In 1986 the company merged with Trans-World Airlines, or TWA. [IIDBS LLC.
