Martha Marquis Circle of Coe College.
Established in 1910 as the Women's Association of Coe College, a social organization for women faculty and faculty wives. The group changed its name to the Martha Marquis Circle of Coe College in 1922 and evolved into a social organization for non-student women affiliated with the institution. Martha Marquis was founder of the group and spouse of John Abner Marquis, president of Coe College, 1909-1919.
