The Faculty Council was established in 1969 as an elected body charged with representing the interests of the faculty. The council's main functions are to expedite business and implement faculty resolutions, provide a representative faculty group to which persons or groups can address communications to the faculty, prepare for and oversee faculty meetings, devise procedures for faculty action, and coordinate business among faculty committees.
