Milton Hindus served on the faculty at Brandeis University from 1948-1981 as a member of the Department of English and American Literature. As one of the founding faculty members at Brandeis University he served on numerous committees and groups and devoted himself to the cause of education at the University.

Hindus taught at Hunter College and the New School from 1943-1946. From 1946-48, he was Assoc. Prof. of Humanities at the University of Chicago, and from 1948-1986, he taught English at Brandeis University.
