South Dakota. Governor (1939-1943 : Harlan J. Bushfield)
Born at Atlantic, Iowa, August 6, 1882 and died at Miller, South Dakota on September 27, 1948. As governor he established a pattern of fiscal responsibility for his successors and used his financial abilities to reduce state operating costs.
