Historical note: This is a local chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP), a Washington, D.C.-based association of college and university faculty, researchers, and librarians founded in 1915.
The Albany chapter was based at the New York State College for Teachers until 1962, and at its successor the State University of New York at Albany from 1962 to 1974.
