Hamlin, Adoniram J.
Adoniram J. Hamlin, of Bainbridge, N.Y., served in Co. H of the 114th Regiment New York Volunteer Infantry. He was also known as Adoniram J. Hamllin and Adeniron I. Hamlin. All of the letters were addressed to his wife, Belle. Three of the letters were written while Hamlin was in Louisiana, and he specifically mentions the second Battle of Sabine Pass. The last three letters were written from Mower Hospital, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, PA.
