From 1979-1987, it was published once or twice a year; from 1988-2006, it was published three times a year in Fall, Winter, and Spring terms. It was published twice a year in 2007 and once in 2008; it was not published in 2009; and in 2010 it began annual publication in the Spring.

The Denali Literary and Arts Magazine accepts submissions from persons living in Lane County and/or students of the college. It accepts all original works of art and literature regardless of medium, style, or subject matter, including poetry and short stories, photography, etchings, prints, paintings, drawings, photo-manipulation and all forms of printable digital art.

The English, Foreign Language and Speech Department and then, after a name change, the Language, Literature and Communications Department administers the Denali.
