Boot and Shoe Workers Union. Local 149 (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.)
In 1895 skilled craftsmen in the shoe industry withdrew from the Knights of Labor to form the Boot and Shoe Workers Union in affiliation with the American Federation of Labor.
