Helberg, Alice.
Material from four related New England families: Bliss, Edson, Underwood and Woodward. Includes records of Vermont farming and Underwood general merchandise store (1805-1861), as well as Civil War correspondence and documents of Thomas J. Edson, a corporal in 38th Iowa Volunteer Infantry. Edson's regiment occupied Mobile Bay, Ala. (1864). Woodward family correspondence (1851-1866) includes two Civil War letters from Edmond Woodward. Underwood family papers consist primarily of deeds (1792-1857). Bliss family papers includes a genealogy.
