Illinois Supreme Court justice, from New York, came to Illinois in 1818 and moved to Jacksonville where he lived until 1854 when he moved to Batavia, Ill. Was a trustee of Illinois College. Married to Mary Stith Nash. His daughter Susan Lockwood married Charles W. Porter of Hudson, Wisconsin.
