In 1994 the Indiana Historical Society awarded the Indiana Broadcasters Pioneers Foundation, Inc. (Carmel, Ind.), a Clio grant to assist researchers in gathering interviews of Indiana's early broadcasters and to prepare a book-length manuscript about those broadcasters. Interviews were conducted between 1994 and 1997, and the book was published in 1999 as "In the Public Interest: Oral Histories of Hoosier Broadcasters." Linda Weintraut and Jane R. Nolan were the project's primary researchers, and Stephen L. Ingram was the project manager.
