John Tabb Snodgrass (b. Dec. 23, 1906, Paterson, N.J.-d. 1966), U.S. Army officer, graduated from university in 1928 and received his commission in the U.S. Army Reserves in 1933, moving to active duty in 1940. He served as battery and battalion commander as well as staff officer during World War II, and at the end of the War he served with the 8th U.S. Army in Japan as battalion commander and staff officer. He was chief of staff, Army Air Defense Command from 1950 to 1953, and served with the 55th Anti-Aircraft Brigade in Korea in 1954 and 1955. In the later 1950s, General Snodgrass was guided missile brigade commander and deputy commanding general, Army Air Defense Center. He became commanding general, 1st Region, U.S. Army Defense Command in 1962.
