Preston, Samuel Truman
George N. Ives was born in Connecticut in 1843. Between 1870 and 1880, he moved to North Carolina, where he operated a fish and oyster packing business in New Bern and Beaufort. He and his wife Lucia had two children: John and Lucia. George N. Ives died in 1927.
