Walter Philip Tobey, born in Boston in 1891, earned his Harvard AB in 1912. His military service began on the Mexican border in 1916 with Battery A, First Massachusetts Field Atillery and continued in World War I as captain of Headquarters Company, 101st Field Artillery, 26th Division. He received a Silver Star for valor. He became a stockbroker, and died in 1955.
