Hewlett, Aaron Molyneaux, d. 1871.
Aaron Molyneaux Hewlett (d. 1871) was instructor and curator of the College gymnasium from 1859 to ca. 1871. It is believed that Hewlett was the first African-American on the staff at Harvard. Sibley's private journal (HUG1791.xx) records Mr. Hewlett's death on December 6, 1871 (vol. 2, p. 928).
