Minneapolis and Northwestern Railroad Company.
The railroad was incorporated in 1875 as a subsidiary of the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railroad and built a 63-mile rail line from Minneapolis to St. Cloud. It was acquired in 1883 by GN's predecessor, the St. Paul, Minneapolis and Manitoba Railway Company.
