Rudd, Velva E.
Variant namesVelva E. Rudd (1910-1999) was a legume specialist and curator in the Department of Botany, United States National Herbarium. She researched and published on various tropical species of Fabaceae. Ruddia, the Mexican legume genus, was named in her honor. In 1973, Rudd retired from her position as curator at the National Herbarium and served as a Research Fellow at California State University in Northridge until her death in 1999.
