The Institute of Texan Cultures (ITC), a museum located on the HemisFair Park Campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio, was established in 1965 by the 59th Texas Legislature. The ITC's Audiovisual Production Department, a unit of the Production Division, was the creative agency responsible for the production of slideshows, filmstrips, video documentaries, and multimedia presentations for educational purposes. Productions included training slideshows for ITC volunteers and new employees, films for museum exhibits, and public service announcements advertising the ITC's annual Texas Folklife Festival and other events.
