Anna (Barzyk) Procanin (Mrs. Peter), a mother of five who lived in Chicago, Illinois, was active in several Polish American and other organizations. Her memberships included the Polish National Alliance of U.S. of N.A., Warehouse and Mail Order Employers Union, Local #743 (Chicago), and Klub Leczan #1. The latter, a charitable organization, was founded in Chicago in 1923; members were person from Leki Górne, Poland, who provided aid to those in their home area.
