Zoel E. Snow was born in March, 1934, in Butte, Montana, the son of Arthur and Nelly Snow. When Zoel was still a boy his parents divorced and his mother married Irving Garland. Zoel Snow served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1954. Snow later worked as a clerk typist for the Anaconda Company. He married a woman named Zoe Ann in 1954, and they had two children. Zoel was arrested and convicted of robbery, and sent to the State Prison. in March 1957. Zoe Ann divorced him shortly after he was sent to prison. While in prison he worked as a writer for the M. P. News. He was paroled on July 1, 1961.
Snow spent 30 years in Tacoma, Washington, working as a boilermaker and welder. He married Helen L. Smith in 1979. About 1996 they moved to Montgomery, Pennsylvania, where he died May 4, 2003.
