Terry, Andrew, 1824-1877.
The grandson of clockmaker Eli Terry, Andrew Terry was born in Terryville, Connecticut, in 1824. He founded the Malleable Iron Works in 1847 before removing to Kansas with his family in 1871. By 1875 he returned to Connecticut and worked with the Bristol Iron Company. In 1844 he married Sarah Hawkins Orr (1819-1893) of Washington, Pennsylvania.
