Carlos Bee (1867-1932), lawyer, politician and legislator, was born in Mexico, where his parents were living temporarily after the fall of the Confederacy. In 1874, the Bee family returned to San Antonio, Texas. Bee attended school at Texas A&M University and practiced law in San Antonio. He held political appointments including District Attorney, school board member and chairman of the 1904 Texas State Democratic Convention. He was a member of the Texas Senate from 1915 to 1919.
