Norris, Charles, 1782?-1847
Variant namesCharles Norris was born at Epping or Exeter, N.H., around 1780. Norris entered into a co-partnership with Henry Ranlet, Exeter's leading bookseller and newspaper publisher, and John Sawyer in the early 1800's. He continued the business with Sawyer after Ranlet's death in about 1807 as Norris & Sawyer, then, after 1809, with other partners as Charles Norris & Co.
