Keppel, Herbert Govert, 1866-1918

Herbert Govert Keppel was born in Zeeland, Michigan on April 7, 1866 and died in Gainesville, Florida on October 5, 1918. He received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in 1901 from Clark University. He came to the University of Florida in 1908 as professor of mathematics and became head of the Department of Mathematics before his death.

Born April 7, 1866 in Zeeland, Michigan. Died October 5, 1918 in Gainesville, Florida. Keppel received his Ph. D. in mathematics from Clark University in 1901 after serving as an instructor at Northwestern University. He came to the University of Florida as professor of mathematics in 1908.
