Hide Profile

Rudy Lowenstein was born August 18, 1921 in Berlin, Germany. He went to public school for 13 years and was not happy there. He had a German teacher who was with the S.S. and taught hatred of the Jews. He did not experience any anti-semitism, however, until Hitler took over. He left Germany in 1937 without difficulty. His aunt and uncle helped him get into the United States. The interview ends, but then he tells another story about going to East Berlin. Then there is 15 seconds of noise & silence. 36 seconds later Rose Levenson concludes the interview.
