Shuman, E. C. (Everett C.), 1902-2002
Variant namesEverett C. Shuman (1902-2002) was a Penn State faculty member and pioneer researcher in energy conservation. He was called the father of the "R-value," the indicator of heat resistance used for all types of insulation materials since 1970. He also invented the mineral core fire door.
