Molloy, John, 1780-1867

W.A. pioneer settler. Veteran of the Napoleonic Wars. Married Georgiana Kennedy in 1829 and they emigrated to W.A. in 1830. Pioneer settler at Augusta where he was appointed Resident Magistrate and JP. In 1839 moved to Vasse where he built the homestead "Fairlawn". After his death in 1867, the property was bought by Richard Gale.

Army officer, arrived at Fremantle in the Warrior in March 1830. He was made a justice of the peace and founded the settlement of Augusta. In 1839 he and his family moved to the Vasse River taking up 12000 acres in Busselton where he again performed the duties of resident magistrate.
