Ballou, William Hosea, 1857-1937
Variant namesWilliam B. Ballou was born in Winter Hill, Vermont. He arrived traveled to Alaska from San Francisco by schooner, disembarking at Rampart City to search in 1907. Ballou was apparently a part time accountant and he wrote "Jack - a true story of adventure in Alaska." He married and had a son.
