Mark R. (Richard) Rosenzweig served as a Professor in the Dept. of Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1949-2003. Rosenzweig was born Sept.12, 1922, in Rochester, N.Y. He received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Rochester, and his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1944. Following receipt of his doctoral degree, he served in the Navy, and joined the faculty of the University of California in 1949. Rosenzweig served as president of the International Union of Psychological Science, and won the American Psychological Association's Distinguished Scientifc Contribution Award in 1982. He died in Berkeley on July 20, 2009.
