Rohm and Haas Company
Variant namesRohm & Haas was founded by Dr. Otto Rohm and Mr. Otto Haas in Esslingen, Germany in 1907. In 1911 Haas opened a U.S. branch in Philadelphia. The company prospered through sale of such products as Oropon and Plexiglas acrylic. The firm also branched out into textiles. In 2008, it was purchased by Dow Chemical Company.
