The Presbytery of Lorain (Lorain County, Ohio) was founded in 1836 from a portion of the Presbytery of Cleveland. It met in Elyria until 1839, when it was disbanded and amalgamated with the Presbytery of Huron. The Presbytery of Elyria was formed in 1842 from a portion of the Presbytery of Huron.
